Accomodation

A block of rooms at the 4* conference hotel Abades Nevada Palace has been arranged till April 30th with a special rate for a single room of 65 €  (breakfast and VAT included). Double rooms will be charged at a rate of 75 € (breakfast and VAT included). Please, reserve your room as soon as possible. Bookings must be made directly through the official travel agency of the Conference, Viajes Tema, using the hotel booking form.

Hotel Abades Nevada Palace offers us a special price for use of their SPA facilies. Participants should show their conference badge in order to obtain the following special rates.

Hidrothermal Circuit Relax: 15.00 €
Hidrothermal Circuit + Express Massage (15 min.): 30.00 €

People interested in sharing a double room with other participants can contact Viajes Tema, who will try to arrange it if other participants are interested. 

The hotel is located in the southern part of the city within 15 min walking distance from IAA headquarters and 25-30 minutes walking distance to the old Granada town. Other possibilities to get the historic area from the hotel are by taxi (about 6 euros) and by bus. The local bus company is called Transportes Rober. There are bus stops for lines 4, 10 and C within 5 minutes walking distance to the hotel; these lines also get to the city town (1.2 €).

Lunchs

Lunch at hotel Nevada Palace is included in the registration fee for May 12th, 14th and 15th.Tickets for lunch will be included in your Conference Welcome Kit, delivered at the registration desk. Please, keep them with you at lunch time !

Internet connection

Hotel Abades Nevada Palace is equipped with wi-fi internet connection available throughout the hotel, free to the conference participants. Instructions on how to connect your laptop will be provided in the Conference Welcome Kit.

Weather

Usually this time of the year the weather in Granada is warm, but you may need a light jacket or pullover for the evenings.

Passport and visa

Spain has agreement for visa exception with many countries, such as: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Guatemala, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Switzerland, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela. Citizens from these countries do not need a visa to enter and stay in Spain for up to 90 days. No visa is required for citizens of one of the countries of the European Union. Citizens from all other countries do need a tourist visa to enter in Spain. This kind of visa provides coverage for attending scientific conferences, seminars, or meetings. In order to request a tourist visa, you have to contact the Spanish embassy/consulate nearest to your city. This must be done as soon as possible since visa applications can take quite some time.

Letter of invitation

We will provide a letter of invitation for those participants who request one. If you need such a letter, please send to us an e-mail: isolated-info (at) iaa.es with the following information:
  • Full name, passport number and country of issue.
  • Full mailing address and a fax number to send the letter. 
  • Names and passport numbers of your accompanying persons, if any.
Please, be sure to provide your name and the names of your accompanying persons exactly as written in the passports.
